Gotta get this up early, because there may or may not be like six new books showing up today.

      1. Now that I have done some preliminary research, I am down to a few. Lawyer, Jailer, Ally, Foe sounds like a book which is important to read, but I probably wouldn’t be able to read the whole thing. Bat Eater and Lone Women warrant further investigation, and The Design of Everyday Things has shown up on my radar numerous times.

I finished Carl 2. Mordecai is annoying me. The climax is a bit rushed (while taking longer than necessary to get there, so the pacing could be more even), and the epilogue explaining what did or did not happen is overly complicated and confusing, working too hard to get you to keep reading. (Again, a more evenly spaced explanation along the way would serve the story better than an exposition dump at the end.) I’m invested and curious, and I have procured book three, so I will keep reading, but I might need a change of pace before proceeding.
