…beyond the fact that I can never remember how to spell “embarrassing.”
So the new Mad Max movie is getting hella good reviews. I startled myself after the first trailer when I realized I wanted to see it, because, and this hurts to say, because as a proud geek this shouldn’t be true, but I’ve never seen any of the Mad Max movies. I don’t even think I’ve seen parts of any of them. I have a hazy awareness that Tina Turner is in the third one but that’s it.
My wife feels that this cannot be allowed to stand.
I know I’m not the only one of my people out there. What have you not seen, or not read, that you really ought to have seen or read by your advanced age?

I haven’t read any of the Harry Potter books. I’ve only seen the last two movies because I went with my daughter. The same applies to LoTR.

I have other redeeming qualities, somewhere, I’m sure! I have read The Hobbit a couple of times (I had a copy of the book in French but gave it to a friend because the names in French are just too weird) does that count?

Love Mad Maxx! I have not seen the Godfather, or any of the new releases of anything. Haven’t been to movies in a while.

I’m not a big movie watcher so there are lots I haven’t seen. But as an avid reader, I find that there are some classics that “everybody” has read, except me. Like To Kill a Mockingbird and Jane Eyre. I hope to rectify this somewhat soon. After all, I wouldn’t want to miss the new book from Harper Lee, but I really need to read Mockingbird first.

The only Mad Max movie I’ve seen is Beyond Thunderdome. My clone has seen all three of the old movies, though, and we’re mindlinked, so that’s almost the same as having seen them myself, right?
On the other hand, I bet most of you youngsters have never seen The Wizard of Speed and Time.

My list is endless! I’ve only seen the first LOTR movie or read any of the books, I saw the new Mad Max film but haven’t seen any of the others, I haven’t seen Die Hard either…. It is a list that my boyfriend is trying to work through 😛
