3. Just going to chime in here as a native of Michigan. Detroit isn’t A lovely city from every angle, but it has its beauty. Troy is the worst place to get a “view” from. Nothing but parking lots, office buildings and freeway. We stayed at the Ren Cen a few weeks ago and had a view of the river. A freighter passed right by the restaurant we ate at in St. Clair. There are museums, zoos, parks, theater and so much more in Detroit. I would never tell anyone sorry about being in Detroit. Sorry, I love my state and I love this city. There’s a deep pride here and we don’t really like negativity without cause.
