Brief WordPress query

Anybody else who has comment Likes turned on– do you have any idea how to stop WP from emailing you every time someone clicks Like on a comment?  I swear I’ve looked through all the settings twice and I can’t find anything.

(EDIT:  Solved.  NotAPunkRocker points out that there are two places where settings are stored– and this particular one isn’t in the Dashboard, which is where I was looking.)

The general information tab (the one that brings up your profile and other options on the right). The notifications option on that screen. First option actually!

  2. Okay. Problem is that WP has two dueling sets of settings– the option to turn off comment Like notifications is not in the Dashboard, which is where I usually live (I can turn off notifications for likes on posts, but not comments) and I never thought to look in what I think of as the “blue” settings pages. Why there are two places to look is beyond me.

NotAPunkRocker, thanks for specifying “on the right,” or I’d never have seen it. 🙂

Every time I get a “like” notification, there’s a note in the body of the email that says if you don’t want to receive these notices go here.

I don’t get many likes, so I haven’t looked closely at where here is. I’m usually too busy squealing gleefully about how someone has validated my existence or some crap like that, but I could see how getting hammered with tons of notices would be irritating.

A little looking and I found this:
    Goto DashBoard
    Goto Discussion Settings
    Goto Email Me Whenever

It looks like that might be what you’re looking for.

HI, you can also select day/weekly and time; or you can recieve posts not comments, and vice versa; you have these two places too – 1. hover over your name(top right of the black bar across your blog) then click on your name, there are many settings to access from there; and 2. Click the wordpress ‘W’ logo at the very top left of your screen, this takes you to your reader, down the righthand side click the first one which says ‘Blogs I follow – edit’ 🙂
