Oh I’m Just SO Excited About Today

1250675188_family_guy_barfingYesterday was long and crappy and entirely unworthy of the title of “Sunday,” and I’m in the classroom all day today– 7th graders, no less– so I’m far from convinced that today will be better.  In fact the entire week is not looking encouraging at all.

Blargh.  Post some kittens in comments or something.

It’s Friday, mang…

…and I got nothin’ right now.  I’m about to eat soup with rattlesnake and rabbit in it, though.  That’s pretty exciting.

Skylights is $1.99 for about another hour and a half, if you’re into that.  Up to $2.99 once that time passes.

For the record

BW-logorrheaI will be attending my cousin’s wedding in Michigan on Saturday, and will therefore be out of town for the next couple of days.  The fun thing is this has been an impressively busy week around here– it’s Thursday and I’m going to pass traffic from all of last week before I go to bed tonight, so it’s not like I’m sacrificing any Important Traffic Metrics– but do not be terribly surprised or alarmed if you don’t see me much in the next few days.

I know you worry.  🙂

(And you know me, and chances are I’ll find wi-fi at the hotel and post from my phone and do all sorts of things that make it not at all obvious that I’m not at home.  But just in case I disappear, don’t panic.)

Hmmmm

I have a number of activities that I want to perform this weekend, and am even bringing in my parents tomorrow to watch the boy so that I might finish several of them.  Right now all I want to do is play video games– which, believe it or not, are actually on the list of “things I want to accomplish”– and then go directly to sleep for a hundred years, which might derail most of the rest of the list.

Some stuff happened at work today that I could talk about, but I can’t think of a way to make any of them funny which makes me not want to discuss them all that much.  It has, generally speaking, been a very long week.  I’m looking forward to getting a chance to relax this weekend.

How are you?

Spent most of the day hoping something interesting would happen…

…and thus far it has not, at least nothing interesting enough to overcome my desire to lie in a heap and stare at the wall and groan.  The drive home from Nashville was considerably more taxing than the drive to Nashville, particularly the more extended post-Louisville part, and “staring and moaning” has been about where my head has been at all day.  There was some raking of leaves.  The front lawn has, oh, 80% of the leaves that it had earlier today.  A spot of shopping.  Very little else.

Yeah.

How was your weekend?

I’m not dead, but…

…holy shit does this suck. Taking tomorrow off too and going to see a doctor. I haven’t been remotely human all weekend.

Enjoying your weekend?

…thank a union member.

In which I have a three-year-old

Yesterday was awful, but not in a way that I can make funny or entertaining– “these numbers won’t add up, and nothing we can do will make them!” does not make for a fun blog post– and I basically took the entire day off from the Internet.  Today is my son’s birthday, so I’m gonna be busy as hell for at least the next seven or eight hours, but may be around tonight, since I was smart enough to take the weekend off from OtherJob.

MISS ME, DAMN YOUR EYES.
