The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 96,000 times in 2014. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 4 days for that many people to see it.
I mostly let this repost so that I can find it again later– that said, I encourage everyone to repost theirs, because I suspect I’m going to love looking at them. Feel free to drop links in here if you want.

How did you make the report? Is it a feature of an upgraded site?

They literally just emailed it to me. I assume everyone gets one; I have a vague memory of getting one at the end of 2013 but had forgotten about it until the email showed up. You have the option to make it public once you’ve viewed it.

They haven’t sent anything yet but I’ll keep my eye out for it.

How many helper monkeys did you hire?

Oh, they brought them to me. I didn’t have to hire them. 🙂
(Sorry about the minor edit, btw)

Huh. 2014 isn’t over yet. Still going strong! I’m surprised this is out already. I got mine after New Year’s last time.

They are a bit hilarious. Here’s a bit from mine:
“A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 420 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 7 trips to carry that many people.”
(Fun fact: this site is one of my top referring sites. So, yay! 😉 )
I haven’t received one for my secondary blog, but it’s only a few months old. Maybe next year?
