I am none of the following, nor am I willing to pretend to be, ever:
- Irish
- Catholic
- Drunk
I am therefore also not:
- wearing green
And I literally bit the face off of the last poor fool who tried to:
- pinch me.
St. Patrick’s Day may literally be my least favorite day of the year.
- Bah Humbug.

Aren’t you a teacher? How do you survive not wearing green to a middle school? That’s like wearing rhinestone booty shorts into a megachurch.
I rule by fear.
That pinching isn’t a ‘thing’ in Ireland.
My understanding is that St. Patrick’s Day itself is barely a thing in Ireland.
Well I wouldn’t go that far now, we have parades and drinking…. just no pinching!
I haven’t been pinched for years. I must be completely unpinchable.
I’m not Catholic.
I am 1/4 Irish.
I do wish I was drunk.
And I love Patrick Stewart and hate that he married a woman my age. Sunny Ozell, you stole my dream!
I also hate St. Patrick’s day. It’s just stupid.
I like St. Paddy’s day.
I am Irish.
Unfortunately teaching in a school populated predominantly by Hispanic students made me feel like an endangered species. Every time I answered that I was Irish the immediate response was always. Really?
Also, Huzzah to ruling through fear! Oh, and sarcasm. Definitely lots of sarcasm.
I am Irish, and proud of it! But catholic no. Orange is the color worn by non Catholic Irish, not green. No one seems to know this so I usually buckle under and wear green. Next year I’m wearing ORANGE!!!
Many years ago I used to make a point of wearing orange on St. Patrick’s Day. Nobody ever got it so I don’t do it anymore. Black’s easier. 🙂
We will have to join forces next year.
So my orange undershirt under my green shirt was spot on! (I have to wear green shirts at work.) (all year)
I hate Halloween! I look good in green!
