A little better than last month? At least there are no books in front of books. Man, I need to do nothing but read this summer.

Going home, not dead yet.

There are actually quite a few good choices for Book of the Month in here. The Reformatory? Oathbound? The Unworthy? Martyr!? The Bones Beneath My Skin? All are great choices, but I have to go with Galileo’s Daughter, by Dava Sobel. Review coming in the very near future. Lots of great books this month, though.

New glasses, less facial hair, same shitty attitude. How’s your Sunday going?

Book of the Month is going to be Monika Kim’s The Eyes are the Best Part, followed closely by Hammajang Luck and The God of the Woods.

A couple of these arrived today, and I almost didn’t include them in the picture until I realized I had two books called “Gilgamesh” (one a new translation of the epic, the other a historical fiction) and two featuring the rather improbable combination of the words “blood” and “promise” in their titles.
