Anybody seeing WP refusing to count unique visitors today? I’ve had 13 visitors since 7:30 am, and currently have more countries than individual visitors. I kinda doubt that.

Mine does that sometimes…. It’s like it can’t keep up.. it eventually evens out, though…

It’s always a couple hours behind, but no updates in almost 12 hours is weird. Currently at a 21:1 views/visitors ratio. 🙂

That is weird.. Sorry, no help here 🙂

The internet has been slow all evening here in the UK with some WordPress buttons (e.g. Preview) not working at all. Hmm.

With the Olympics going on, the tweets and blogs and what not are through the roof. In the Pacific Northwest, there are a lot of people without power.

Yup. No visitors, but 32 views, from 5 different countries… WordPress has also changed the order of my posts a number of times, time stamping some of them hours before I’d even written them. I go to look at any given post & it’s been moved – I go back a bit later & it’s back where it belongs.

I’ve got a bunch of views, but only 1 visitor recorded. It’s been that way all day for me, and I know there have been more unique visitors than that. No clue why, though. Wish I could help.

Howdy! I’m an Happiness Engineer with WordPress.com and ran across your post. We had our process that determines the number of visitors break for a little bit today, but it should be all back to normal now. Sorry for the trouble!

1) Thanks. 2) I cannot express how pleased I am to discover that the position of “Happiness Engineer” exists, and I hope they pay you in actual money. 3) So, about getting me on Freshly Pressed…

Haha—yup, it’s a real job with a real salary and everything! If you have anything you’re particularly proud of, let me know. Can’t make any promises, but happy to check it out and pass it along to our editorial crew if it sounds like it might be a good candidate 🙂

Well. Hm. Using “relatively popular” and “relatively recent” and “relatively un-profane” as metrics, check these out, if you don’t mind. 🙂
Thanks!
