I need input: assess the viability of something similar to this image– I’ll let the artist freehand it; I’m not about to just copy a piece of clip art– as a tattoo. Upper arm. Do not respond “I don’t like tattoos;” in that case, I’m not asking you. Note that I have six other tats and most of them are monochromatic so it’ll fit in pretty well.

Make sure the pencil looks like a pencil or it will look dodgy as hell.

You should check out Cheezeburger’s ugliest tattoos; I’m sure there must be something similar that’s gone wrong on there 😀

Image looks good, I’m more hung up on placement. Is upper arm just your preference? Do you have one on your other upper arm? In which case the balance would be nice. I’d suggest inner forearm of your writing hand, if that’s free.

I really want it on my forearm but I’m too hung up still on my tats being coverable at work and I despise long sleeves. Particularly one like this that is political in nature.

That is reasonable. I’ve got wrist and forearm tats and wearing long sleeves all the time is not ideal.
